White
River National Wildlife Refuge Construction Update
The
White River National Wildlife Refuge new Office/Visitor
Contact Facility is under construction and will be ready
for its grand opening in October 2003. The facility
will contain a total of 10,000 sq. feet and will have
office space for 16 people along with an exhibit hall,
auditorium, classroom, and bookstore. 2003 marks not
only the Louisiana Purchase Bicentennial but also the
centennial of the National Wildlife Refuge. For more
