Donald
W. Reynolds Foundation Gives for Commemoration
March
19, 2002
Praising
the Louisiana Purchase Bicentennial in Arkansas as something
"all Arkansans should be aware of," the Donald
W. Reynolds Foundation has contributed $25,000 for the
bicentennial.
"The
Reynolds Foundation is proud to be a sponsor,"
Joel Stubblefield, a trustee of the foundation, said.
"The
grant from the Reynolds Foundation will be a major boost
in our efforts to promote all of the activities of the
bicentennial statewide," Arkansas Secretary of
State Sharon Priest said. Priest will use the funds
to offset costs of the bicentennial commemoration in
2003.
The
Donald W. Reynolds Foundation is a national philanthropic
organization founded in 1954 by the late media entrepreneur
for whom it is named. Reynolds was the founder and principal
owner of the Donrey Media Group. When he died in 1993,
the company included over 70 businesses, the majority
of which were in the communications field.
