Secretary of State Sharon Priest Talks Tourism

February 27, 2002 - Secretary of State Sharon Priest presented programs on the Louisiana Purchase Bicentennial Commemoration to the Heart of Arkansas Travel Association and to the annual Travel South conference in February.

Priest presented both groups a blueprint of the Louisiana Purchase Bicentennial Committee's plans for the 2003 commemoration with an emphasis on travel and tourism opportunities within the state during 2003. "We are hoping people will plan long weekend or family vacations to tour areas of the state that are hosting Louisiana Purchase events" she said.
