Dunbar and Hunter Expedition to the Hot Springs in 1804

The first American expedition into the new Louisiana Territory was to visit the "hot springs on the Washita." President Thomas Jefferson was curios about this country and sent William Dunbar and George Hunter to explore and map it. Find out about these men and the first scientific discoveries of the Hot Springs area. The event is open to the public and free.
